  1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).

  2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.

  this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

  talked again with co worker jw study

  today i was testing my co worker to see if he's really a jw.

  with simple things like god bless you when you cough.

  asked about his birthday and remember he wished me happy birthday a few months ago.

  Welcome to the forum, it is nice to have you here.

  You have every right to express you opinions and I am happy that you found this forum to do so. I agree with some of what you say, but not much.

  I joined the JWs in 1986 and I honestly believed in what was said and I followed along like a sheep for many years, believing that the GB really had our best interests at heart, only to find out after 29 years that that is not the case.

  The things that are wrong far outweigh the good things here is a list of some of the things that bothered me about the organization that caused me to leave:

  Child abuse - 2 Witness rule (See "Candace Conti vs Watchtower as an example)

  UNO - NGO membership

  Environmental pollution issues

  Owning shares in companies that deal in weapons

  Owning shares in companies that deal in pornography

  Intellectual dishonesty

  Using mind controlling techniques in their literature and meetings
  

  Flip - flops in teaching

  Overlapping generation teaching

  the list goes on. Have you tried "www.jwfacts.com" or "www.jwsurvey.org" for information?

  It might be a good idea if you did that.

  Like I have already said, we are happy to have you on the forum.

  does anybody remember any thing else that was once or still is proscribed against faithful j-dubs?

  when brothers in our kh started wearing different colored shirts rather than white, it caused a great stir and ruckus.

  one day cost of $16,900!.

  this was at romeoville, which was built ground up in the 90's and was fully paid for by the illinois circuits!.

  JW Religion same as Stock Market/Gambling (Concept)

  for the last few days i was discussing with a colleague of mine at work about the stock market and how some people, even when losing money, they will hold onto their shares because someone said they will rise again.

  this may lead to lost opportunities or even losing all their money instead of de-risking and offsetting loses by buying another stock, in other word jumping ship.. this got me thinking about jws (knowing that i am still in).

  took one step back and looked at our family and what we have done by sticking to this religion.

  Many of you have already been serving for decades as special pioneers, and we really appreciate that. Your faithful endurance deserves a sincere praise!

  Recently we received statements from the Governing Body announcing a global restructuring in almost every area of the work. This includes how the special pioneers are to be used, which is why some special pioneers have already been asked to continue their ministry as regular pioneers. In order to get an overview of the current overall situation, we ask you to let us know who of you is in such a financial situation, partially or entirely, to look after themselves. This does not necessarily mean leaving the full-time service. We would very much appreciate it, if we receive your answers by 23 October 2015.

  Please be assured that completely irrespective of these considerations and future decisions we appreciate your sacrifice greatly. You have made yourselves available for the most important work, which is now being carried out on Earth. This has allowed you to make many very individual experiences with Jehovah. Please never forget these experiences!
